Geotechnical Driller Helper- Phoenix

About the role

Certerra Sub-Surface-Enviro-Drill is seeking an entry-level Site Coordinator or Assistant Driller in Albuquerque and Los Cruces, NM. The position involves preparing work sites, obtaining laboratory samples, and performing various duties to ensure safe working environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work sites and obtain laboratory samples
• Determine the geological character of the ground, nature of ore, strength of foundation material, and/or conduct environmental sampling
• Maintain facilities, work sites, and equipment
• Ensure safe working environments
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Travel throughout Arizona and New Mexico

Requirements

• Reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn geological drilling process
• Able to work under challenging conditions
• Follows safety procedures
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Must have and maintain a clean motor vehicle record

Preferred

• CDL driver's license
• Welding background
• Field experience in desert climate

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule is flexible but requires travel throughout Arizona and New Mexico.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 2 years of related experience is preferred.

Skills

Strong mechanical aptitude, respectfulness, and team orientation are essential skills for this role.
