Geotechnical Co-Op

Responsibilities Assists with geotechnical fieldwork and subsurface exploration activitiesSupports obtaining utility clearances and preparing drilling instructionsPerforms boring and test pit layout using conventional surveying and GPSObserves and classifies soils and test pitsAssists in preparing boring logs and location diagramsPerforms hand auger borings to obtain soil samples and subsurface dataAssists with specialized testing (e.g., Pile Driving Analyzer testing, seismic testing)Observes foundation construction and ground improvement activitiesSupports basic foundation analysis and engineering recommendationsAssists with laboratory testing of soils and concrete materialsInterprets test data and supports preparation of reports or summaries under supervisionMaintains field and laboratory equipment and work areasDocuments field and laboratory observations accuratelyPerforms other field, laboratory, or project support tasks as assigned Want to experience what this job entails?
