Geotech Engineer - In - Training
About the role
Freese and Nichols is currently searching for a highly motivated, well-rounded Engineer-in-Training with an interest in the geotechnical field, to add to our Water Resource Dam and Levee Design group in Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collect, adjust, and correlate data, and recognize discrepancies in results.
- Aid in geotechnical designs and reports, focusing on slope stability, seepage, and settlement modeling.
- Become familiar with accepted design criteria and geotechnical methods.
- Execute project assignments within the scope of work and guidelines set by the Project Engineer, adhering to time and schedule allocations agreed upon by the Group Manager.
- Interface with internal and external clients and build strong working relationships through project interaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering.
- 1+ years' experience in a related field.
- EIT certification or ability to pass the FE exam within one year of joining the team.
