GeoStructural Division Manager

About the role

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates (HCEA) is a leading engineering firm specializing in geotechnical and geostructural engineering, environmental consulting, specialty construction, construction materials engineering and testing, and third-party inspections. We are seeking a full-time Structural/Geostructural Division Manager to lead our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of engineering and support staff
• Senior review of technical products
• Good loss prevention practices
• Lead the growth of the division
• Must have practical understanding of and experience designing foundations, modular block and concrete retaining walls, support of excavation systems (SOE), underpinning, and miscellaneous structures
• Must be a skilled project manager, controlling schedules, budgets, resources, and providing high-level client service
• Maintain current client relationships through thorough, professional service and constant communication
• Identify and develop new client relationships to expand the client base and foster long-term relationships

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Structural/Geostructural Engineering
• PE license required
• Working knowledge of geotechnical analysis and design preferred
