Our Quick Coupling Division is seeking a Division Production Control Manager to oversee the direction and daily activities of the division’s inventory and production operations. This managerial and hands-on role involves developing and maintaining production plans and schedules for quick coupling manufacturing, focusing on strategic, tactical, and operational plans within a lean enterprise environment. Key areas of concentration include people, organization, process, and information technology.

The Quick Coupling Division is the world’s largest manufacturer of quick couplings, which provide fast, make-or-break connections for fluid or gas transfer lines. Our plants supply critical equipment for industries such as Agriculture, Construction, and Data Processing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all division inventory, including records, material tracking, stocking levels, and quality of materials, while adapting to changing business activity.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely reorder processes and material delivery.
  • Administer an aggressive inventory reduction program to limit exposure to excess inventory costs and adjust levels based on backlog production.
  • Analyze production requirements based on immediate sales orders and short/medium-term forecasts, considering production resources (people, materials, equipment).
  • Work with division management to optimize production resource utilization across single or multi-plant facilities for on-time delivery and cost minimization.
  • Prepare master schedules to establish manufacturing operation sequences and lead times, including weekly, monthly, or longer production cycles.
  • Actively resolve conflicts from unpredictable variances affecting the master schedule (e.g., changing priorities, engineering changes, material shortages, scrap/repairs, labor shortages, machine availability).
  • Oversee the division’s monthly sales and operations planning.
  • Prepare detailed reports on current activity and suggest process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in inventory and production control.
  • 4-year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management; supply chain management certification preferred.
  • Analytical and technical skills to assess business practices and recommend automation opportunities.
  • Advanced computer skills and understanding of electronic processing.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external contacts.
  • Innovative mindset with a strong embrace of lean enterprise principles and practices.

Pay

Pay range: $105,700 to $185,000 annually, with participation in the Annual Incentive Program.
