The opportunity: CACI has an outstanding opportunity for select Geospatial Systems Administrators to support US Special Operations Command in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role is integral to a professional IT development team that directly supports analysis during the operational planning cycle to ensure mission success. The position supports a Department of Defense (DoD) organization and is located in Fayetteville, NC.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain an enterprise system architecture, including geospatial databases, network equipment, and software tools.
- Perform complex analysis, design, and modification of GIS applications and databases, and evaluate new GIS hardware and software.
- Maintain the enterprise systems architecture, including installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Serve as the primary IT contact for end users to troubleshoot, maintain, and develop solutions to meet their requirements.
- Support technologies including ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, SOCET GXP, OpenGeo Software Suite, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, NetApp Storage Solutions, VMWare, and Linux server software.
- Develop and implement system architecture backup and recovery plans, security protocols and patches, and monitor system health and loading.
- Administer multiple servers, databases, and storage solutions.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance and ability to meet the requirements of DCID 6/4.
- Five (5) years of progressive experience performing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software for MS and Linux operating systems.
- At least two (2) years of experience within the past three (3) years with Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, VMWare, Linux server software, and network storage.
- Proficiency in administering and deploying geospatial applications and intelligence-related automation to support analytical efforts and product development.
- Proficiency in administering and deploying enterprise-level open-source and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) GIS server equipment in support of Intelligence organizations.
- Required to obtain and maintain appropriate level certification in accordance with DODD 8570.01.
Skills
- Desired: Bachelor’s degree with at least five (5) years of additional experience supporting special operations automated desktop processing (ADP) management.
- Additional years of general experience in intelligence systems architecture and geospatial systems are highly desirable.

Pay
The proposed salary range for this position is $71,500 - $150,200. Final salary is influenced by factors such as geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Up to 10% travel, primarily within the Continental US.
