Georgetown 01 (Wolf Lakes Village) CFT - Cross Functional Rep - Part time

About the role

This role involves providing general customer service, answering customer questions, taking orders, assisting with product selection, and working across multiple departments including packaging, stocking, rotation, production, and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service; answers customer questions regarding products, takes orders, assists with product selection
• Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
• Makes regular product announcements to inform customers
• Works a flexible schedule to accommodate shifts of different departments
• Duties in multiple departments, including technical or perishable areas such as bakery, floral, market, etc.
• Stocks and replenishes, handles product returns and rotation, selects and services products
• Buils, stocks, and maintains displays and fixtures
• Aids in inventory control; loads, unloads, and moves product
• Slices, packages, labels, rotates, merchandises, culls, and prices product
• Gains knowledge of multiple departments; applies understanding of processes/policies
• Complies with Store and department SOPs, policies, and applicable laws
• Works as a Checker when not performing Cross Functional duties

Food Safety / Sanitation

• Ensures compliance with departmental/Store SOPs for food safety and sanitation
• Operates and maintains all equipment
• Cleans/sanitizes sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Age Requirement: 18+
• Work Experience: 6+ months of experience in H-E-B Store operations
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of computer systems (Symbol, ACR, label machine)
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Verbal/written communication and reading skills
  • Ability to adapt to performing a wide range of duties across multiple departments
  • Ability to work autonomously
• Education: HS Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Licenses/Certifications: Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Function in a fast-paced, retail environment, requiring detailed and precise tasks
• Work with Customers, staying attentive to their needs
• Perform the following, based on your Department:
• Bakery: Lift up to 85 lbs
• Dairy/Frozen/Grocery/Market: Lift up to 80 lbs
• Fresh Produce: Lift up to 75 lbs
• Floral: Lift up to 45 lbs
• Gas Station: Lift up to 40 lbs
• Seafood: Lift up to 25 lbs
• Service: Lift up to 30 lbs
• Shelf Edge: Lift up to 65 lbs
