About the role

The Geopolitical Strategy Manager focuses on Geopolitics while coordinating with and backfilling Public Policy and External Engagement. Key responsibilities include managing the PP+G project management office, leading quantitative analysis, preparing briefings, and managing the Geoeconomic and Policy Disruptions dashboard.

Responsibilities

  • Co-manage the PP+G project management office for effective staffing and execution of PP+G initiatives and manage remote teams in multiple locations.
  • Attend meetings with PP+G leadership, take notes, and provide briefings and other support to execute agreed-upon action items.
  • Develop tools, templates, and guidance necessary to support execution of PP+G initiatives.
  • Mentor, coach, and supervise other PP+G team members, lead special projects as assigned, drive AI enablement efforts, and coordinate with PP+G Senior Managers and Directors.
  • Work across SIPP, other Deloitte Global groups, and Deloitte Member Firm/geography leadership to support PP+G programs and initiatives, and to strengthen teamwork and sense of community.
  • Sense and analyze geopolitical trends and developments, including managing Deloitte's ongoing sensing, filtering, and analysis of geopolitical trends and developments, in collaboration with specialist teams and external advisors, and leveraging AI and other tools.
  • Lead quantitative analysis of external and internal data sources to discern trends, shape recommendations, and support executive communications.
  • Manage complexity and discern "the signal from the noise," identify underlying drivers, isolate business relevance, and clarify potential business impacts for Deloitte and our clients.
  • Prepare briefings and support planning activities for internal and external interactions of Deloitte's senior executives, Member Firm leadership, and global board.
  • Provide communication and administrative support for senior leadership meetings.
  • Manage, facilitate, and prepare for executive level workshops, interviews, surveys to gather executive-level input on key issues as needed.
  • Provide both "on request" support related to the business impact of geopolitical developments and manage collaborative projects designed to strengthen the resilience of Deloitte business and functional strategies and plans to geopolitical trends.

Requirements

  • Experienced Manager with minimum 7 years of relevant experience, preferably including public or private sector strategy consulting.
  • Master's degree (e.g., in Business Administration, International Relations or Economics) preferred.
  • Academic or practical experience with public policy, international relations, economic development, geopolitical issues and/or regional studies particularly Asia or Middle East.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High degree of competence in use of AI to strengthen Deloitte processes and products.
  • Demonstrated experience in the following areas: strong program management and ability to prioritize workload to translate stakeholder desires into actionable workplans; experience simultaneously managing multiple project teams; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including high competency for stakeholder management; ability to lead complex data analysis, including model development, quality assurance, and executive communication of insights; solving complex challenges in a self-directed manner using structured thinking; creating narratives to guide stakeholder thinking and maximize impact; pursuing structured and unstructured qualitative research; cultivating trust among a variety of stakeholders internal and external to the organization; driving team adoption of AI-enabled approaches, while assuring appropriate support and guardrails.

  • Foreign Language Capability and Experience Abroad Preferred.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the range is $139,400 - $232,000 for individuals applying to work in these locations.
