About the role

The Geopolitical Strategy Manager focuses on Geopolitics while coordinating with and backfilling Public Policy and External Engagement. Key responsibilities include managing the PP+G project management office, mentoring and coaching team members, leading quantitative analysis, and preparing briefings for senior executives.

Responsibilities

  • Co-manage the PP+G project management office for effective staffing and execution of PP+G initiatives.
  • Manage remote teams in multiple locations including the US, UK, EU, and India.
  • Attend meetings with PP+G leadership, take notes, and provide briefings and other support.
  • Develop tools, templates, and guidance for PP+G initiatives.
  • Mentor, coach, and supervise other PP+G team members, lead special projects as assigned, and drive AI enablement efforts.
  • Work across SIPP, other Deloitte Global groups, and Deloitte Member Firm/geography leadership to support PP+G programs and initiatives.
  • Sense and analyze geopolitical trends and developments, and leverage AI and other tools.
  • Lead quantitative analysis of external and internal data sources to discern trends, shape recommendations, and support executive communications.
  • Prepare briefings and support planning activities for internal and external interactions of Deloitte's senior executives.
  • Manage, facilitate, and prepare for executive level workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather executive-level input on key issues.
  • Provide support for the business impact of geopolitical developments and manage collaborative projects to strengthen Deloitte's business and functional strategies to geopolitical trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, preferably including public or private sector strategy consulting.
  • Master's degree (e.g., in Business Administration, International Relations, or Economics) preferred.
  • Experience with public policy, international relations, economic development, geopolitical issues, and regional studies, particularly in Asia or the Middle East.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Foreign language capability and experience abroad preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in program management, stakeholder management, complex data analysis, and structured thinking.

Qualifications

  • High degree of competence in use of AI to strengthen Deloitte processes and products.
  • Ability to lead complex data analysis, including model development, quality assurance, and executive communication of insights.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including high competency for stakeholder management.
  • Experience in leading and managing multiple project teams.
  • Ability to solve complex challenges in a self-directed manner using structured thinking.
  • Experience in creating narratives to guide stakeholder thinking and maximize impact.
  • Possession of academic or practical experience with public policy, international relations, economic development, geopolitical issues, and/or regional studies.
  • Ability to cultivate trust among a variety of stakeholders internal and external to the organization.
  • Experience in driving team adoption of AI-enabled approaches, while assuring appropriate support and guardrails.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the range for this role is $139,400 - $232,000 annually for individuals applying to work in New York City and Arlington, Virginia locations. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model.

Schedule

Travel required up to 15%. Limited immigration sponsorship may be available in some locations.
