Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys using geophysical instruments, including ground penetrating radar, resistivity, seismic, and magnetic equipment.
- Set up, tear down, calibrate, and maintain survey equipment.
- Collect, record, and manage field data accurately and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with geophysicists and engineers to ensure data quality and project success.
- Perform routine equipment checks and troubleshooting as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations during all field activities.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a solid work ethic are essential.
- Previous experience in fieldwork or geophysical surveys is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various outdoor settings.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to changing conditions, and keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in internet research, email, MS Office, Word, and Excel.
- Strong technical skills and familiarity with GPS and other surveying tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote locations for extended periods.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions and rugged landscapes.
