We are looking for a Senior Research Advisor to join our team, based in either Gatwick (UK) or Houston (US).

Responsibilities.

• Define and advance our geophysical research strategy
• Conduct and guide research into advanced seismic processing, imaging, and inversion methods
• Ensure innovations are translated into practical, high-impact solutions within our Reveal processing system

Requirements.

• Geophysics professionals with a PhD in Geophysics, Physics, or a related numerate discipline
• Expertise in driving research programmes from concept through to implementation
• Technical guidance to processing and imaging teams
• Leading and mentoring geophysical researchers and senior specialists
• Promoting new technologies internally and externally, including engagement with clients, partners, and academia

Qualifications.

• Strong academic foundation in geophysical principles, with exposure to seismic processing, imaging, inversion, or related areas
• The ability to apply research, analytical thinking, or technical expertise to solve complex subsurface challenges
• An interest in developing and advancing new ideas, with the potential to translate research into practical applications
• Experience with computational methods, scientific programming, or algorithm development
• An understanding of geological complexity and its impact on geophysical interpretation, appropriate to your career stage
• For those further along in their careers, ability to mentor others, support their development, and openly share expertise
