About the role
You will serve as a GEOPHYSICIST in the HYDROGRAPHIC DEPARTMENT (NP4) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Responsibilities
- You will serve as a subject matter expert in the fields of geophysics, supporting data collection, data processing, quality control, data archival, product generation and/or product dissemination.
- You will collaborate with other technical experts to refine processes.
- You will review the work of peers and junior grade employees for technical soundness and conformance to accept standards.
- You will prepare publishable scientific reports whenever findings are of significant interest to the Navy or scientific community.
- You will be responsible for the application of advanced scientific and technological procedures to solve various problems associated with seafloor surveys, data processing and analysis, and product development.
