Responsibilities
- Oversight of drilling operations (installing monitoring wells and soil or rock descriptions)
- Soil, groundwater, and air sampling in compliance with State and Federal standards
- Implementation of injection or other in-situ based remedial technologies
- Oversight of system remedial system installations
- Subcontractor oversight
- Extensive and detailed note-taking, and effective coordination and communication with project team members
- Emergency response support (environmental sample planning and collection, rail client and state/federal regulator correspondence, onsite contractor oversight) for train derailments/HAZMAT spills
Requirements
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated and exhibits independent thinking
- Works effectively and efficiently in a team setting as well as independently and remotely
- Adaptable, creative problem solver who can work collaboratively as a team member
- Profound proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Geology, Geosciences, or Environmental Science
- 1 - 3 years of related work experience
- Proficiency at using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Current valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Current OSHA HAZWOPER 40 HR / 8 HR training
- Previous industry, consulting, or regulatory internship experience

Pay
The salary range for this position is $58,320 - $87,480. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
