What You'll Do
Work on projects from concept through construction—across both design-bid-build and design-build delivery models. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, sharing technical insights across geographic boundaries and contributing to innovative solutions for projects ranging from local builds to global infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Participating in field assignments: soil and rock borings, CPT soundings, geophysical testing, instrumentation installation, and construction inspections
- Analyzing field logs and lab data to support geotechnical design decisions
- Designing shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, ground improvement, embankments, cut slopes, and more
- Performing seismic hazard analyses, including site-response studies and liquefaction evaluations
- Preparing calculation packages and technical documentation (memos, reports, specifications)
- Using advanced software tools such as Settle3D, Slide, LPILE, DeepXcav, FLAC, PLAXIS, and MathCAD for engineering analysis
- Reviewing construction submittals for compliance with design assumptions and contract requirements
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in geotechnical/geological engineering
- BS in Geology
- Strong academic foundation in soil mechanics and geotechnical design principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software
- Experience in site characterization, deep foundation and retaining structure design, and seismic evaluations

Pay
Base salary range: $70,900.00 to $124,100.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
