Geologist
About the role
Join our dedicated environmental team to support existing projects across Georgia, Alabama, and northern Florida. As an integral team member, you will handle fieldwork tasks, enabling project managers to focus on strategic oversight.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Phase I & II environmental site assessments.
- Oversee drilling crews and manage field operations.
- Perform groundwater monitoring and soil sampling.
- Write detailed reports and assessments.
- Assist project managers with both field and office tasks.
- Support Environmental and Solid Waste teams in various capacities.
Essential Skills
- Degree in Environmental Science or Geology.
- Experience with Phase I & II site assessments.
- Ability to oversee drilling operations and ensure environmental compliance.
- Strong report writing and technical writing skills.
- Experience with groundwater monitoring and soil sampling.
- Good client interaction and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- HAZWOPER certification is desirable.
- Experience with environmental compliance and regulations.
- Capacity for growth and leadership in future roles.
Work Environment
You will work both in our Duluth, GA office (50%) and in the field at various project sites throughout Georgia (50%). Fieldwork primarily consists of day trips, allowing you to return home each evening, with occasional overnight stays in Alabama or North Florida once a month. You will have access to a company vehicle or rental for site work and travel. Commuting to the office will require the use of a personal vehicle.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
