Responsibilities

  • Assemble major mechanical components including engines, transmissions, pumps, radiators, brackets, and structural elements
  • Follow detailed build books, schematics, blueprints, and order-of-operation instructions from start to finish (A to Z)
  • Perform mechanical assembly work using hand tools, impacts, pneumatic tools, and other shop equipment
  • Work on frack equipment and multiple genset builds running in parallel
  • Perform low- and high-voltage electrical work, including cable pulling, connections, and terminations
  • Read electrical prints and diagnose electrical issues
  • Use voltmeters, meggers, and high-pot test equipment
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes (30-ton and 40-ton units), and fifth-wheel trucks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized stall/build area
  • Wear and maintain proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times, ensuring compliance with company safety standards
  • Collaborate with team members and provide technical guidance when needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on mechanical, electrical, or hybrid experience in the oilfield services industry, including the assembly of oilfield equipment, engines, and other heavy mechanical or industrial systems
  • Must own and bring basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble complex heavy equipment
  • Strong understanding of engines, transmissions, hydraulic components, pumps, and related systems
  • Knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage systems
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and calibration equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the workday
  • Ability to stand for extended periods; frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasional work under equipment
  • Clear vision, hearing, and communication ability for safe assembly work
  • Ability to work in an indoors large, well-ventilated shop and warehouse environment with exposure to industrial smells, fumes, and other typical manufacturing odors
