Equipment Assembler

About the role

Customize and assemble aerial, construction, and truck vehicles to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble vehicle components, including removal of fasteners, hydraulic hoses, and welded parts.
• Build and customize heavy and light-duty vehicles using various parts.
• Wire electrical components and plumb hydraulics on vehicles.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and work orders to determine materials and tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure timely vehicle turnaround.
• Move parts using hoists, cranes, or forklifts and maintain tools and workspace.
• Perform other duties to support efficient operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with heavy equipment and vehicle assembly.
• Ability to read instructions and basic computer skills.
• Strong attendance record, commitment to safety, and team-oriented attitude.
• Physical capability for lifting, climbing, and working in various environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over two years of automotive or vocational truck maintenance experience.
• Good communication skills and a strong focus on safety.
