Job Summary
The successful applicant will implement various computational frameworks/analysis strategies for multiple ongoing and emerging genetics and genomics projects in Alzheimer disease, substance use disorders, and age-related macular degeneration involving high-throughput, next generation sequencing (NGS) datasets.
Responsibilities
- Direct the development and maintenance of genome-wide association and genomic analysis pipelines and the implementation of various analysis strategies.
- Carry out risk prediction analyses utilizing genetic, clinical, demographic, and other risk factor data.
- Respond to requests for analysis from faculty, postdocs, and collaborators; and collaborate with them in interpretation of data, and in the preparation of manuscripts, grants, and presentations.
- Train students, postdocs and faculty in pipeline use; and test and utilize new software and tools, modifying them as needed to adapt to specific research needs.
- Prepare tables and figures for manuscripts that report results from data analyses.
Requirements
- Strong programming and analytic skills in R and Python or Perl.
- Strong scientific writing skills.
- Three years relevant work or graduate education experience.

- The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison.
Pay
- Minimum $62,525.00
- Maximum $81,175.00
