Job Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of standby generators
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair all components of the generator and automatic transfer switches
- Document all installed equipment upon arrival of service: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary
- Perform start-ups on new power generation equipment
- Process required maintenance and work order paperwork on a timely manner
- Ensure that all warranty work orders are prepared properly according to warranty policies and that all warranty parts are tagged and turned in
- Responsible for parts inventory on service truck
- Participate in the rotating responsibility of a 24/7 on-call technician rotation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience with working on internal combustion engines, including diesel, natural gas, gas, and propane fuel systems
- Experience driving a service truck, managing inventory, and interacting directly with commercial or residential clients
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record
- Must not have had their driver's license suspended for traffic accidents/violations within the past 3 years
- Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years
- High School or GED - Preferred
- Other - Preferred Trade School
- A strong understanding if internal combustion engines, AC and DC circuitry, and wiring schematics

- Talk, hear, taste, smell: Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Occasionally – up to 20%
