We are hiring a dependable and skilled Generator Mechanic - A/C Service Technician to join our growing team. This field-based role is ideal for candidates with mechanical and electrical repair experience—particularly with small engines, standby generators, or automatic transfer switches (ATS). Key Responsibilities: Travel to residential job sites using a company-provided service vehiclePerform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on whole-home standby generatorsTroubleshoot and service mechanical and electrical components, including ATS systemsRead and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manualsClearly communicate with customers regarding services performed and any recommendationsAccurately document all work in our service management softwareFollow safety protocols and industry best practices when working around electricitySupport emergency service calls during weather-related outages or storms, as needed Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in generator service, small engine repair, or related mechanical/electrical workStrong customer service and verbal communication skillsAbility to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manualsComfortable working independently in the field with minimal supervisionHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordPhysically able to perform job duties, including climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in outdoor environmentsFamiliarity with residential generator systems and ATS technology is a plus Position Details: Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional flexibility required for emergencies)Job Type: Full-timeCompensation: Based on experience and skill levelTravel: Local/regional service calls using a company-provided vehicle Why Join Generator Supercenter?
