About the role

The Generator Service Order Engineering Manager leads a team of experienced service engineering professionals at the Siemens Energy Charlotte Campus. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of resource allocation, budgeting, and forecasting for generator service orders.
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate release of product definitions.
  • Providing technical and professional guidance to the team.
  • Leading the technical review and fulfillment of customer orders for generator services.
  • Monitoring project progress and proactively resolving technical challenges.
  • Managing project risks and supporting on-time delivery.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Serving as the primary escalation point for technical issues related to generator service orders.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support successful generator service order execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably supporting large rotating equipment, generators, or a related industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership or management capacity, responsible for directing the work of engineers or other technical professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and the engineering design process.
  • Experience leading technical project execution, including managing project schedules, resources, risks, and deliverables.
  • Able to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of engineering deliverables while meeting project timelines and budgets.
  • Strong team-building, collaboration, and stakeholder influencing skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive successful outcomes.
  • Commitment to accountability, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction in a service-oriented engineering environment.

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • Experience with visa sponsorship may be considered for internal transfers.
