Generative AI Context Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Generative AI Context Engineer to design and create the Knowledge Base Repository that stores curated business, technical, semantic, and retrieval-ready knowledge used by GenAI. This role focuses on converting source documentation, metadata, business definitions, and mappings into structured AI-consumable context.
Experience
- 5+ years in AI context engineering, knowledge management, semantic modeling, data governance, or business metadata management.
- Experience creating knowledge repositories, business glossaries, or semantic documentation.
- Experience supporting LLM, RAG, natural-language-to-SQL, or enterprise AI systems.
- Ability to translate complex data and business documentation into structured context.
Technical Skills
- Strong YAML and JSON authoring skills.
- Working knowledge of Markdown for structured documentation.
- Basic to intermediate Python for parsing, transformation, and validation.
- Familiarity with SQL for understanding data mappings.
- Experience with Git-based repository management and CI/CD pipelines.
- Conceptual understanding of vector search or retrieval systems.
- Experience with enterprise process management systems (e.g., POP, ARIS, SDAR).
- Exposure to GenAI platforms and LLM-based enterprise solutions.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance-driven data environments.
- Experience with Copilot, Azure DevOps, GitHub, OpenSearch, vector databases, or enterprise RAG platforms.

About the Role
The role involves designing and creating the Knowledge Base Repository, defining structure, naming conventions, and versioning approaches, and ensuring the repository can be indexed and consumed by the GenAI platform.
Responsibilities
- Define the structure of the Knowledge Base Repository and create organization standards for business terms, data definitions, and semantic mappings.
- Create structured context files describing business concepts, definitions, synonyms, relationships, metrics, and data mappings.
- Convert business documentation, PDFs, and data dictionaries into AI-usable knowledge artifacts.
- Organize context to support accurate SQL generation, entity recognition, and business interpretation.
- Establish review and approval workflows for AI context artifacts and maintain version control of knowledge assets.
- Collaborate with the AI Platform Engineer to ensure the repository can be indexed and consumed by the GenAI platform.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a combination of software engineering and GenAI use case analysis and implementation background.
Skills
