About the role
Mizkan America, Inc. is a subsidiary of the Mizkan Group, a global, family-owned company. The HR Generalist supports day-to-day Human Resources operations in a corporate/office environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support day-to-day Human Resources operations in a corporate/office environment
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR questions, policies, and processes, providing timely and solutions-oriented support
- Perform regular HR audits (e.g., employee files, onboarding documentation, data integrity, compliance checks) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR systems and personnel files
- Support HR data entry, reporting, and ongoing data validation to ensure integrity across systems (e.g., Workday)

- Coordinate HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle changes
- Partner with HR Systems, Payroll, and Benefits teams to ensure consistent and compliant HR service delivery
- Aid in recruiting coordination, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and onboarding logistics
- Support employee relations activities by gathering information, documenting notes, and assisting with follow-up actions as appropriate

- Coordinate and support HR programs, initiatives, and employee events (e.g., engagement activities, training sessions, communications)
- Provide guidance to employees and leaders on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Promote consistent application of HR policies and positive employee relations across office and remote populations
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives aligned with business priorities
- Perform other duties assigned that support the overall success of the team, department, or organization
Requirements

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3 years of Human Resources experience
- Experience in a corporate office-based HR environment preferred
- Experience with HR audits, data management, and compliance processes strongly preferred
- Experience coordinating HR programs or events is a plus
- Professional HR certification preferred
- Working knowledge of HR systems (e.g., Workday) and reporting tools
