Generalist/Director Of Ambulatory Care In OB/GYN
About the Role
Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, part of the LifeBridge Health System, is seeking a board-certified/eligible OB-GYN Generalist to serve as Director of Ambulatory Care in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Recognized for two consecutive years by US News and World Report as a high-performing unit, the BirthPlace at Sinai Hospital performs 1,800 births annually and is an integral part of the Baltimore community. The department is a recipient of the 2022 Minogue Award Circle of Honor for innovations in patient safety. Sinai Hospital is a Regional Medical Campus of the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, serving local, national, and international patients.
Sinai Hospital is a nonprofit teaching hospital with an ACGME-accredited residency program training over 140 residents. With 399 acute beds, it is the largest community hospital in Maryland.
Department Highlights
- Teaching future OB/GYNs in an ACGME-certified residency program with 16 residents (4 per year)

- Support for diabetes management provided by a registered dietician

- Robotic surgery capability with DaVinci Xi system (expertise considered an asset)
Responsibilities
- Oversee and mentor clinical providers on standards of care, professionalism, interpersonal interactions, and protocols
- Monitor clinical outcomes
- Develop and coordinate schedules to ensure appropriate coverage
- Educate clinical staff on proper treatment management of clinical conditions as requested by the Chief
- Assist staff in monitoring and complying with documentation and billing requirements
- Ensure staff maintain adequate instrumentation and supplies for patient visits and ambulatory procedures
- Perform other reasonable responsibilities assigned by the Chief, following collaboration and agreement with the Director
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- 5+ years of experience post-fellowship
- Leadership experience preferred
- Successful completion of an ACGME-approved residency program in OB/GYN
- Ability to obtain a Maryland medical license and DEA license
- Expertise in robotic and minimally invasive GYN surgery is a plus
