Must be able to work regular schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:45pm, possible mandatory overtime 6:00am to 4:45pm and occasional mandatory Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Regular, reliable attendance is required as work cannot be performed remotely.
- Examine and scan the case label to place in the accurate location.
- Lift the correct product box off the pallet and shelves, remove the box lid, and place the full product box in the correct bay.
- Identify “flagged” bays and refill the bays with correct product in a timely manner.
- Push filled boxes down partially empty tracks in the bays.
- Remove empty pallets on the grates and prepare them to be removed at the gates by equipment operators.
- Operate pallet jack to move product from one area to another area.
- Empty trash along the line and replace trash bag.
- Follow safety rules for personal safety and the safety of others, including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintain a minimum of 99.80% accuracy each week.
- Collect damaged product and place in designated area.
- Back up order pullers during slow periods of production.
- Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1-3 months of order filling experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand up to 8-10 hours in a day.
- Must be able to walk up to 10 hours in a day.
- Will occasionally reach up and out.
- Will occasionally climb.
- Will occasionally push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Will frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Will occasionally have repetitive foot movement.
- Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping and/or fine hand manipulation.
- Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to stand; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to wear protective equipment occasionally.
Skills
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences well both written and verbally, in the English language.
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and a series of numbers.
- Proficient in mathematics: ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Ability to perform mathematical operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment
- The work performed is in a warehouse environment.
- The employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machinery.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
