General Warehouse Associate (shipping) - 1st shift,Tuesday to Friday- $17/hr

About the Role

This position involves performing essential warehouse and material handling functions in a fast-paced distribution environment. The role requires proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems, RF, and voice-directed picking, as well as adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with internal customers and management.
• Follow detailed instructions and maintain a detail-oriented approach.
• Use electronic devices such as tablets, radios, and scanners.
• Perform basic math functions, including counting, adding, and subtracting accurately.
• Adhere to all safety policies and support safety programs.
• Read and comprehend labels, tickets, and other product documentation.
• Become proficient with Warehouse Management Systems, RF, and voice-directed picking.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Report all accidents, injuries, near misses, and hazardous conditions immediately.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments as needed.
• Assist in other production areas as required and work at different workstations based on production needs.
• Conduct work safely and adhere to safety methods.
• Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility when work is required in other production areas.
• Meet production standards on specific assignments within required time frames.
• Ensure quality and accuracy in material handling functions.
• Move product manually or with a manual pallet jack to and from production areas.
• Transport materials between loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and order processing areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• One year of general warehouse or material handler experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours a day.
• Repetitively reach up and out.
• Push or pull up to 25 pounds repeatedly and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment

The role is performed in a high-volume distribution center environment. The employee may be exposed to vibrations, dust, and moving machinery. The noise level is usually moderate. The position requires working in a fast-paced team environment.
