General Warehouse Associate - Receiver - $17/hr - HIRING ALL SHIFTS

About the Role

This position involves performing essential functions in a warehouse and distribution environment. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, proficiency with electronic devices, and basic math abilities. Employees must adhere to all safety policies and procedures and support safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with internal customers and management.
• Follow detailed instructions and maintain a detail-oriented approach.
• Use electronic devices such as tablets, computers, radios, and scanners.
• Perform basic math functions, including counting, adding, and subtracting accurately.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, near misses, and hazardous conditions immediately.
• Become proficient with Warehouse Management Systems, RF, and Voice-directed picking.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments as needed.
• Assist in other production areas and work at different workstations as required.
• Conduct work safely and adhere to safety methods.
• Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility and dependability when working in various production areas.
• Meet production standards on specific assignments within required time frames.
• Maintain quality and accuracy in material handling functions.
• Move product manually or with a manual pallet jack to and from production areas, loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and order processing areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• One year of general warehouse/material handler experience preferred.
• Competent in the use of computers.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours a day on concrete floors.
• Must be able to repetitively reach up and out.
• Will frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.

Work Environment

The role is performed in a high-volume distribution center environment. The employee is frequently exposed to vibrations, dust, and moving machinery. The noise level is usually moderate at low decibels. The position requires working near loading bays, often exposed to outside temperatures, in a fast-paced team environment.
