General Utility Worker - North Carolina Central University

About the role
As a General Utility Worker on our team, you’ll maintain the cleanliness of dishes, equipment, and work environments. This role is a starting point for your career with opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
- Ensure guest satisfaction by cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils
- Maintain dishwashing station, three-compartment sink, and related areas in a clean and sanitary condition
- Ensure equipment is clean and in working condition; report any issues to management
- Perform other light maintenance and custodial tasks
- Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation
- Ensure security of company assets
Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
- Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- This role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
- May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Proteive Equipment (PPE)
