General Utility Worker- NCCU- Catering - North Carolina Central University

About the role

This position is located in our catering department. The ideal candidate will hold a valid driver’s license or will have the ability to obtain one within the provided time frame. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have open or flexible availability, as catering does not have a set schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized.
• Maintain dishwashing station, three-compartment sink, and related areas cleaned.
• Ensure equipment is clean and in working condition; report any issues to management.
• Perform other light maintenance and custodial tasks.
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation.
• Ensure security of company assets.

Requirements

• Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical Demands

• This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
• This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
