General Utility Worker I

About the role

The General Utility Worker I serves a variety of essential back-of-house and front-of-house Food & Beverage (F&B) roles. This position requires maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment and gaining extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record food and equipment temperature.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including pot/dish wash and deep clean duties.
• Attend in-house training sessions.
• Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations at all times.
• Comply with and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s health and safety policy.
• Comply with and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s policies and procedures.
• Ensure all food hygiene regulations are adhered to.
• Assist chefs with checking in food deliveries, ensuring only the highest standards of produce are accepted.
• Ensure all food storage aligns with food hygiene regulations and that the stock rotation system is followed.
• Perform cleaning duties associated with service, equipment, and/or furniture.
• Prepare service areas and/or service points.
• Accurately store food items and equipment after service.

Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet commitments.

This role may have physical demands, including but not limited to lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. It may also require uniforms and/or the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
