About the role
This is a comprehensive robotic surgery fellowship focused on advanced minimally invasive techniques.
Responsibilities
- Gain extensive clinical and operative experience across multiple sites, performing a minimum of 150 complex robotic procedures, including foregut, bariatric, abdominal wall, and colorectal surgeries.
- Participate in a structured three-phase training program with simulation, supervised practice, and autonomous leadership.
- Engage in scholarly activities such as research, manuscript publication, and conference presentations.
- Serve as a peer mentor and instructor for surgical residents, leading simulation labs and bedside training.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of clinical care and continuous skill development in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Qualifications
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited general surgery residency
- Board eligibility or certification
- Valid medical license
- DEA registration
Strong surgical skills, leadership, and commitment to education are essential.
