General Surgery Outpatient APP

About the role

United Health Services Hospitals is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join an established outpatient General Surgery team in Binghamton, NY.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new and established patient visits in an outpatient setting, including comprehensive evaluations and ongoing care management
• Perform patient consultations with thorough education on procedures and treatment plans
• Provide postoperative care and follow-up for surgical patients, monitoring recovery and addressing complications as needed
• Cook up patient communication and triage inquiries in collaboration with clinical and administrative team members
• Perform wound care procedures, including complex dressing changes and wound VAC management

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of NP/PA experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Prior experience as an APP or RN in a surgical setting preferred
• Active New York State NP or PA license required
• DEA registration and board certification required
