General Surgeon (M68144)

Position Responsibilities

• The primary clinical responsibility will be in the care of the general surgery patients at VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital, and possibly in other VCUHS clinics and operative locations.
• They will be responsible for the development of an active general surgery practice, with the support of the Division and Departments leadership.
• Teaching responsibilities as a part of their role, including oversight of trainees and instruction in General Surgery and applied anatomy and physiology.

Qualifications

• Board Certification or Eligibility in General Surgery
• Commitment to teaching and education of medical students and other trainees
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students
