General Surgeon - Locum Tenens

Role Overview This position involves providing on-site general surgery and trauma call coverage at a Level III Trauma Center. The clinician will perform surgery, manage inpatient cases, and handle emergent surgical needs during 24-hour shifts, primarily scheduled around long weekends. Responsibilities include rounding on 8-10 inpatients, performing 4-5 surgeries per shift, and documenting all care using the EPIC EMR system. Qualifications & Skills Board certification in General SurgeryActive state or Compact medical licenseRequired certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLSPrescriptive authority Key Duties Perform general surgery and trauma proceduresProvide inpatient care and manage emergent casesMaintain continuous availability during call periods Additional Details Patient population includes all agesWork location is on-site at a Level III Trauma CenterThis is a locum position with ongoing coverage requirements
