General Surgeon

About the Role

Part-time General Surgeon position in Queens, NY with a national wound physician group. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors.
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.
• Provide bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals across a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, visiting 2–3 facilities per day and treating approximately 20–30 patients daily.
• Perform clinical documentation in real-time during rounds using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week (part-time). Full-time roles are 4–5 days per week.

Practice Overview

• Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday (7 AM–4 PM); part-time availability.
• No call or weekend clinical responsibilities.
• Mobile practice: Physicians travel to facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location.
• Paid training provided during onboarding plus a 6-month wound care fellowship.
• W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship available).

Pay

W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year.
