General Superintendent - Structural Steel

About the role

Kinsley Steel is seeking a talented and experienced Steel Erection General Superintendent to oversee and manage on-site construction projects from start to finish. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Safety is a top priority, and you will be responsible for enforcing safety precautions, holding weekly site safety meetings, and promoting a culture of safety among the team.

You will coordinate weekly look-ahead schedules to anticipate potential issues or delays and attend on-site project meetings focused on safety, quality, scheduling, and production.

Responsibilities

• Read specifications and blueprints to determine locations, quantities, and sizes of materials needed for the project
• Coordinate with other trades and schedule material deliveries to the job site
• Address non-conformances and issue corrective actions as needed
• Troubleshoot on-site issues and submit Requests for Information (RFIs)
• Complete as-built drawings

Requirements

• Solid understanding of commercial construction and steel erection
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively convey information, delegate tasks, and address concerns
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment, including transit, laser level, and torpedo levels
• Valid driver’s license
