General Superintendent (Data Centers)

As a General Superintendent, you’ll take the lead on daily scheduling and planning activities at our data center project in Spartanburg, SC. You’ll ensure the right materials, equipment, and people are on-site to get the job done while prioritizing the safety, health, and well-being of your team and the environment. You’ll leverage your people management skills to guide and nurture your team, helping them discover and pursue what drives them.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and personnel to ensure project efficiency.
- Facilitate and lead safety initiatives, including Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and daily permit sign-offs.
- Collaborate in planning, design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Create estimates, client presentations, timelines, staffing plans, and project execution plans.
- Facilitate walkdowns, meetings, and reviews with owners and designers.
- Conduct constructability reviews and lead client and construction meetings.
- Oversee QA processes, turnover procedures, punch lists, and walkdowns with contractors and owners.
Requirements
- High School diploma (required).
- At least 15 years of construction site experience.
- At least 15 years of experience as a general foreman, superintendent, construction inspector, and/or construction manager.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of pre-design, pre-construction, building systems/components, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building.
- Proficiency in software such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Bluebeam.
- Multidiscipline knowledge (Mechanical, Electrical, IC, CSA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Data Center experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $111,100.00 to $152,700.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Hybrid working policy, allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
