Responsibilities

  • Lead the field execution of some of the nation's most complex marine and heavy civil construction projects.
  • Work in partnership with Project Managers and company leadership to develop high-performing teams and drive project success from planning through completion.
  • Influence project strategy, mentor the next generation of field leaders, build strong client relationships, and set the standard for safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Make sound decisions, solve complex field challenges, and drive successful project outcomes in a fast-paced construction environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or another related engineering or construction discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant heavy civil construction experience.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience leading field operations on heavy civil, marine, structural, industrial, or transportation construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to lead teams, resolve complex field challenges, and drive project success.
  • Proven experience leading field teams while promoting a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Experience collaborating with Project Managers, Project Engineers, owners, engineering consultants, municipalities, DOTs, USACE, ports, utilities, or industrial clients.
  • Ability to lead multiple priorities, solve complex field challenges, and make sound operational decisions.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to lead teams, resolve complex field challenges, and drive project success.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction means and methods, construction sequencing, production planning, and self-perform operations.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, resources, and competing demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate risk and make sound operational decisions.
  • Ability to mentor, develop, and lead high-performing field teams while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

$150K - $200K per year
