General Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Multi-Project Oversight
• Directly manage and mentor Site Superintendents
• Monitor overall project performance
• Conduct regular site visits
• Lead, coach, and develop Site Superintendents and emerging field leaders
• Establish clear expectations and accountability for field leadership teams
• Support succession planning and workforce development initiatives
• Promote a culture of collaboration, safety, and operational excellence
• Champion company-wide safety initiatives
• Review safety performance and lead corrective actions
• Optimize resource allocation
• Drive adoption of Lean construction practices
• Provide field input on cost trends
• Support review and approval of major field-driven cost impacts
• Assist in resolving escalated project issues
• Communicate organizational priorities and initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8 years of heavy civil, industrial, or commercial construction experience, including senior field leadership roles
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and supervising Superintendents
• Strong knowledge of construction operations, scheduling, and field management practices
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
• Local and regional travel as required for projects
• Driver’s license and a safe driving record
