Job Duties

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve dealership goals and targets.
  • Lead and manage the sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
  • Analyze market trends, sales data, and dealership performance to forecast sales and develop action plans.
  • Oversee inventory levels, including ordering and stocking vehicles to meet customer demand and maximize profitability.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and manage customer relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Continuously improve sales processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and manage sales budgets, expenses, and profitability to achieve financial targets.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities, marketing campaigns, and advertising initiatives to drive sales and increase brand awareness.
  • Ensure dealership operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Track sales performance metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant Work Experience: 3-5+ years’ experience, including 2+ at a leadership level
  • Experience in automotive sales, preferably in a dealership setting
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, customer relationship management, and automotive industry
  • Financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and profit analysis
  • Familiarity with automotive industry regulations, such as state laws governing sales practices and dealership operations
  • Breadth and depth of technical or functional expertise in own area of responsibility or department; may be acquiring knowledge of other related areas of departments
  • Developing and implementing processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

  • Education and/or Training: High school diploma or equivalent

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of CRM systems
