General Production Worker

About the role

Rx Systems, Inc. is a climate-controlled facility located in the Point West Industrial Park in St. Charles, MO. We specialize in pharmacy packaging and supplies, having been in operation since 1979.

Responsibilities

• Reads job orders and communicates when materials are needed.
• Communicates professionally with Operators, Lead, and Supervisor.
• Able to perform material changes and assist Operators with wash-ups and plate washing.
• Assists Operators with startup/cleanup processes and pre-mounting of plates.
• Packaging products according to specifications, making up boxes, and labeling as needed.
• Obtains startup approval from Quality Control or Supervision.
• Assists with trash removal, material changes, and input preparation.
• Ensures the work area and machine are kept clean.
• Performs quality control and product inspection duties, including differentiating between various colors and shades.
• Must maintain attendance on-site.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of Flexo experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
• Pass safety control check sheet and color chart.
• LOTO awareness sign off sheet.
• Certification on pallet jacks.
• Training on handheld scanners.
• Proficiency in using a calculator and understanding basic math concepts.
• Ability to read a ruler and distinguish colors.
• Familiarity with basic small tools and pallet jacks.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to push, pull, kneel, reach, sit, hear, walk, and see.
• Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours at a time.
• Must be able to see fine detailing in the finish product.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs on a random basis.

Work Environment

• Vibration from machinery.
• Noise levels required.
• PPE levels on machinery, including ear plugs or earmuffs.
