General Plant Maintenance Tech II

About the role

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and installation of complex mechanical equipment and electrical distribution systems with minimal supervision. Duties include PLC programming, troubleshooting, and other general maintenance tasks. This is a qualified safety-sensitive role that requires operating motorized vehicles and working at elevated heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and installation of industrial mechanical and electrical systems
• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC systems
• Interpret electrical schematics and adhere to electrical codes
• Work within established safety rules and guidelines
• Operate motorized vehicles and work at elevated heights
• Stand, walk, squat, and lift up to 40 lbs. for entire shifts
• Work mandatory overtime and/or weekend schedules as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
• Industrial maintenance certifications or equivalent demonstrated skills
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and basic programming knowledge
• Strong electrical troubleshooting, installation, and schematic interpretation skills
• Good attendance record and ability to work independently or in a team
• Provide own hand tools
• Capable of working in physically demanding conditions (elevated heights, lifting, etc.)
