About the role

The role of Office Secretary is essential for administrative support in K-12 school districts, educational service districts, and charter schools.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Manage office supplies and equipment
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for district staff
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Handle phone calls and emails, directing inquiries to appropriate personnel
  • Perform general office duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in an administrative or secretarial capacity
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of school district operations and policies
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database management
