General Merchandise Associate | Full Time

Position Details

Hourly Base Rate: $13.00–$15.50 per hour (depending on retail customer service experience). Position Type: Non‑Exempt. Location: Harley‑Davidson – Bristol, VA.

About the Role

We are looking for a Motorclothes Associate who is enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and eager to share the Harley‑Davidson experience with our guests. The right candidate will receive training and all necessary tools to succeed in providing superior customer service.

Essential Duties

• Provide “Raving Fan” service to all dealership customers.
• Greet customers immediately in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Make all customers feel welcome regardless of race, sex, or creed.
• Work with several customers simultaneously while maintaining individual satisfaction.
• Handle telephone transactions quickly and courteously.
• Point out sales, specials, or new merchandise to customers.
• Assist customers with merchandise selection and suggest complementary products.
• When accepting check or credit‑card payments, verify identification, obtain approvals, and record transactions as required.
• When accepting cash, verify bills $20 or greater with a counterfeit pen.
• Keep the cash register accurate.
• Notify customers immediately when special orders or back‑ordered items are received.
• Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate commitment to excellent service.
