General Medical Advanced Practice Provider, New Hampshire Hospital - Per Diem
About the role
We are seeking a Per Diem General Medical Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at New Hampshire Hospital, part of Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Department of Psychiatry. The position involves collaborating with PMHNPs, Psychiatrists, and General Medicine providers to provide inpatient psychiatric care, with opportunities for research.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage co-morbid medical problems among psychiatric patients
- Collaborate with a Medical Staff that includes primary care physicians and nurse practitioners
- Participate in services research focused on innovative models for mental health care delivery
Requirements
- General Internal Medicine or Family Nurse Practitioner experience
- Several years of RN experience in a general medical setting
- A desire to work in the inpatient setting
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA academic program
- National specialty certification as FNP, PNP, Acute or Primary Care A-GNP, WHNP, or NCCPA certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- Eligible for RN licensure in the State of NH (APRN only)
- Eligible for APRN or PA licensure in the State of NH
- Eligible for Federal DEA Registration
