General Mechanic- Seasonal position

Responsibilities

• Maintain, erect, repair and troubleshoot rides and attractions to insure their safe and efficient operation with minimum supervision.
• Track ride parts inventory and submit request supply needs.
• Perform required maintenance to ensure rides are clean and in compliance with manufacturers specifications.
• Maintain compliance and documentation to manufacturer specifications, park standards, and state regulations.
• To inspect rides and attractions and notify the department leadership of any hazards that may endanger the general public of Darien Lake staff.
• Operate within the policies and procedures of Darien Lake.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in area of responsibility.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Possess the ability to work at heights.
• Must possess own hand tools.
• Must have basic mechanical knowledge to include; gear reduction, pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical.
• Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner.
• Must be able to read, understand and implement maintenance and inspection procedures.
• Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid New York State Drivers License and successful completion of Darien Lake Vehicle Training program.

Pay

Position begins at $20.00

Schedule

Operate within the policies and procedures of Darien Lake. Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs.
