General Mechanic - Full-Time

About the role

Waverly Heights is currently seeking a full-time General Mechanic to join our team. Our General Mechanics are critical to ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of mechanical systems throughout the community
• Conducting preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and efficiency of our facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical
• Responding promptly to work orders and requests from various departments to address mechanical issues and ensure resident satisfaction
• Collaborating with the maintenance team to identify potential issues and implement solutions to enhance overall community safety and functionality

Requirements

• Previous experience as a general mechanic or similar role is required
• Solid understanding of maintenance procedures, mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other facilities-related equipment
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability and willingness to learn

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week, with weekend on-call rotation.
