Automotive Technician - Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle repair, manufacture recall and warranty service, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting and vehicle certification and reconditioning services according to company policy and procedures.
• Exercises reasonable judgment and initiative in performing all responsibilities.
• Ensures all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.
• Completes required manufacturer's training and performs warranty and recall repairs.
• Maintains vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.
• Provides safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Maintains the work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Utilizes multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools.
• May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs.
• Complies with part and inventory tracking procedures.

Requirements

• Two years of mechanical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles required.
• OEM Level III Certification OR 4 current ASE certifications required.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 convicted moving violations and/or at-fault accidents. No drug or alcohol related incidents with the past 3 years (Total points on driving record cannot exceed 8 points).
• Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• VA State Inspection Certification Preferred.
• Ownership of standard hand tools to perform repairs and maintenance on current vehicles (produced in the last 3 years).

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
• Requires ability to perform manual labor, such as, bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
• Moderate physical activity which requires handling of objects up to 50 pounds with long periods of standing and walking.

Skills

• Proficiency with multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of ADA installs and manufacturer’s specifications.

Benefits

• $29 - 32 / hour starting pay with overtime availability dependent on ASE's/Factory Certifications – No more Flat Rate- $2.00 / hour pay differential for weekday shift (after 11:00 am)

Schedule

This position is available on the following schedule:

• Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 4pm

Pay

• $29 - 32 / hour starting pay with overtime availability dependent on ASE's/Factory Certifications – No more Flat Rate- $2.00 / hour pay differential for weekday shift (after 11:00 am)
• $6.00 / hour pay differential for weekend shift
