At Ryder, you’ll manage the overall financial, operational, and employee aspects of multiple distribution accounts, ensuring profitable retention and growth while meeting financial, safety, and customer-satisfaction goals.
Responsibilities
- Goal setting, skills assessment, individual development plans (IDPs), career development, performance evaluations, and ongoing employee feedback
- Disciplinary actions, warning documentation, and performance improvement plans for CLS
- Identify situations requiring escalation to the director
- Develop direct and indirect reports through relevant HR skills training and ongoing feedback
- Conduct effective selection of qualified personnel and maintain corrective staffing levels to avoid unnecessary use of outside labor
- Create and maintain location processes and SCLM; cross-train CLS and CLC
- Customer satisfaction and problem resolution; review KPI tracking and improvement
- Ensure all staff is trained in Transportation/Distribution Management
- Improve employee retention and reduce accidents against the previous year
- Review and reduce unnecessary overtime; follow up on collision/team safety reporting and supervisor first report of injury
- Recommend and assign responsibility for location process initiation and improvement
- Conduct ongoing self-audits of location processes and individual accountabilities
- SOX invoice reconciliation to FFM designee (if highest level at account)
- SOX revenue recognition preparation for FFM designee (if highest level at account)
- Invoice customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or an additional two years of relevant work experience (required)
- Master’s Degree in a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or related industry (required)
- 5+ years managing, leading, and developing direct reports (preferred)
- 5+ years managing large multi-level teams (required)
- 3+ years developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management (required)
- 3+ years leading teams in a LEAN work environment (preferred)
- 3+ years of Profit & Loss responsibility (preferred)
- 1+ years managing customer KPIs (required)
- Some sales experience (preferred)
- Some multi-client experience (preferred)

- Intermediate knowledge of Ryder Financial Reporting and accounting procedures (Walker) (preferred)
- Intermediate PC skills (Microsoft Office) (required)
- Advanced RD2000 computer system skills (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Ryder products & services (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Ryder sales process (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Ryder pricing models (preferred)
Schedule
Monday–Friday day shift. Must be available to work other shifts as needed.
Pay
Annual salary: $100,000. Annual bonus incentive: up to 20% or more of salary per year.
