General Manager, Venues- Miami, FL (Onsite)
Position Summary
Loud and Live is seeking a highly organized, hands-on General Manager of Venues to oversee venue operations, event execution, and production coordination across live events, concerts, festivals, brand activations, and special events. This role is responsible for managing the full operational lifecycle of events including pre-production planning, vendor coordination, staffing, venue readiness, event-day execution, and post-event breakdown.
Key Responsibilities
Event & Venue Operations
- Oversee day-to-day venue operations and ensure venue readiness for all events and activations
- Manage event execution from advance planning through load-out and post-event reconciliation
- Cook up venue logistics including production schedules, dock access, power requirements, back-of-house operations, crowd flow, and guest experience
- Lead operational planning meetings and communicate timelines, run-of-show details, and venue requirements to all stakeholders
- Ensure all events comply with venue policies, permitting requirements, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Partner cross-functionally to maximize venue utilization and revenue opportunities
Production & Event Execution
- Coordinate and act as operational partner for live event production including staging, lighting, audio, video, rigging, temporary structures, and scenic builds
- Manage event load-in/load-out schedules and ensure efficient use of venue resources and labor
- Work directly with production managers, technical directors, touring teams, and vendors during event setup and execution
- Troubleshoot operational and production issues in real time during live events
- Support festival and large-scale event operations including multi-day builds and overnight execution schedules
Staffing & Team Leadership
- Recruit, build, schedule, and manage on-call event staff and operational support teams
- Oversee labor coordination including stagehands, setup crews, runners, guest services, maintenance, and third-party vendors
- Train staff on venue standards, event procedures, emergency protocols, and customer service expectations
- Lead event-day teams with a proactive, solutions-oriented management style
- Aid in developing SOPs and operational best practices for venue and event management
Marketing, Revenue & Venue Growth
- Partner with marketing, sponsorship, and programming teams to support venue revenue growth and audience development initiatives
- Assist in developing venue calendars that maximize utilization across concerts, festivals, private events, brand activations, community programming, and special events
- Support promotional initiatives by ensuring operational alignment with marketing campaigns, sponsor activations, and experiential programs
- Collaborate with internal creative and content teams to enhance the guest experience and strengthen venue brand identity
- Identify operational opportunities to improve guest satisfaction, retention, and repeat attendance
- Support sponsorship integration and premium hospitality experiences within venue environments
- Provide operational input on new event concepts, venue enhancements, and experiential opportunities that drive incremental revenue
- Assist in programming venue calendars by cultivating relationships with promoters, producers, brands, community organizations, agencies, and event partners
- Support business development initiatives by identifying emerging event concepts, partnership opportunities, and scalable entertainment programming
- Collaborate with internal leadership on long-term venue strategy, audience growth, and market positioning initiatives
- Build and maintain relationships within the local entertainment, hospitality, tourism, and event community to support venue growth and visibility
Vendor & Partner Coordination
- Serve as a primary operational contact for vendors, contractors, promoters, sponsors, and external partners
- Coordinate with security, medical, parking, sanitation, and facilities teams to ensure seamless execution
- Manage vendor compliance including COIs, credentials, access control, and operational approvals
- Assist with sourcing operational vendors, rentals, and event support services as needed
- Serve as a primary operational liaison with local municipalities, county representatives, facility managers, permitting agencies, and public-sector stakeholders
- Coordinate with venue landlords, facility management teams, public safety departments, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth event operations and long-term venue partnership success
- Represent the venue professionally in meetings with governmental agencies, community stakeholders, and operational partners
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Absorb event budgeting, labor forecasting, and operational cost management
- Track operational expenses and support post-event reporting and reconciliation
- Optimize staffing models and operational efficiencies while maintaining event quality standards
- Maintain accurate operational records, schedules, inventory logs, and venue documentation
- Maintain Momentus software in coordination with VP of Entertainment
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in venue management, live events, concerts, festivals, experiential marketing, or production operations
Strong understanding of live event production, logistics, staging, and venue operations
Experience managing event builds, load-ins/load-outs, and operational teams in high-volume environments
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities simultaneously
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make decisions quickly in live event environments
Familiarity with event safety protocols, permitting, and operational compliance standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and event management platforms preferred
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours as required
Preferred Experience
Experience with festivals, touring productions, sports and entertainment venues, or large-scale public events
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Experience working with union and non-union labor environments
Knowledge of venue infrastructure, power distribution, and temporary event installations
Forklift/scissor lift certification is a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. when necessary
Comfortable working outdoors and in varying event environments
Ability to work extended hours during event builds and live operations
